Now that i have all the information that i need to create the DVD itself, I now simply need a bit of market research on what will make the DVD usable and effective to fulfil its purpose. In order to do this I will need a more specific audience than the one used in the original planning and research (young people from town) and that is people within the church.
Simon says that the average church member's age is 28 for this reason i will aim the research at people within a 10 year spectrum of that age bracket (ie 5 years younger and 5 years older). Whereas before I used the short interview technique to capture the information from the interviewee, the problem was that they could easily have been giving me the answer i wanted to hear just to get on with whatever they were doing. So this time i will use questionnaires to get the information that i need from the auidence that will be watching the DVD.
It is also worth noting that for the eventual DVD menu, I have decided not to even mention the other departments and simply have the two that i will produce videos for (and then go back and edit them further after this project has been handed in).
I want to get the questionnaire's out on this sunday as there will be a lot of people there coz it's so close to Christmas (yay!) and therefore a larger potential audience for information.
